A huge shout out to Coach Gonzales, Coach Cole, and the Mitchell Cheerleaders for putting on an amazing halftime performance! They put on a mini cheer camp for two hours, with over 80 girls and gave us an unbelievable performance! Way to go Mitchell Tigers!

Education Day at MHS! Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores had the opportunity to visit with college representatives this morning in the gymnasium. We had a total of 25 colleges , trade schools and military represented. There were many college representatives who commented that our students were very well prepared for the experience and that participation was great! Go Tigers!

Washington D.C. Trip - Parent Meeting Reminder: There is an informational meeting tonight for 8th and 9th grade students going on or interested in the Washington D.C. trip in June 2026. We will be meeting at 6:30 in the high school auditorium to go over a fundraiser and other important reminders. Go Tigers!

Aulick's Manufacturing Day - Competition Results! Mitchell teams won this year's assembly event with a winning time of 2:36 and 2:55 for a 1- 2 finish. The winning team was Wyatt B,Norman C and Garrett L. They will receive an Aulicks Carhartt Jacket, Sweatshirt and Matching Hat for the top prize. Behavior was excellent and we were the only team to line up and shake hands with all of the Aulick's crew, which was noted by several, that we were a class act. Go Tigers!

Mitchell Public Schools Influenza Clinic

MHS Alumni Volleyball Recognition Night, Tuesday October 21st: Mitchell High School would like to invite all Mitchell alumni volleyball players to help cheer on our volleyball team at the “Battle of the Tigers On the Court” as they battle the Bayard Tigers on Tuesday, October 21st. The JV game will be played at 5:00, followed by the Varsity Match. All Alumni Volleyball Players will be admitted into the volleyball game free of charge. We will have sign-in tables and t-shirts at the main entrance for all volleyball players to be recognized on the court, directly after the JV game. Go Tigers!

Congratulations to Kaidyn 1st place in division and over all tournament with an 82 at Alliance today! Madelyn and Audree also competed! Go Tigers!

FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID Seniors and Parents - FAFSA Presentation: October 1, 2025 @ 6pm in the Auditorium. This presentation will cover the changes in the 2026-2027 FAFSA application process. This presentation will guide the seniors and their parents on the changes that have occurred since last year, new account setup, as well as Mitchell’s FAFSA application process in the upcoming weeks. The presentation will also cover the FAFSA requirements of Nebraska state law, specifically Neb. Rev. Stat. § 79-729, as well as access to Nebraska scholarships including the "Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation" scholarship. Seniors and Parent make plans to attend this year’s FAFSA Presentation.
