Science (STEM) Event at Agate Fossil Beds National Monument!
This Saturday, March 11th, Oglala Lakota College will bring their Little Shop of Physics program to Agate National Monument from 12-2. The event is free and will be held in the visitor center's theater. OLC is bringing many hands-on, fun science experiments that will be fun for the whole family. They have experiments appropriate for all grades K-12. It is sure to be a fun time!

The Playtime Matters Project along with MES PET is holding a "BLOCKS OF LOVE" fundraising event. This fundraiser is to help with costs of the green space that the Playtime Matters Project has planned for Mitchell Elementary School.
Help them achieve their goal by making a lasting impression at the MES and purchase an engrave brick that will be displayed at the school.
The "BLOCKS OF LOVE" fundraising event will kick off this evening at our pizza party-trivia night with Mr. K. Hope to see you there!

Mitchell Families: Due to the recent increase in snowfall and extreme cold temperatures, MPS will have a 2 hour late start on Thursday, February 23rd.
No Morning Tiger Cub PreK. Full day PreK should report at 10 a.m.
No breakfast served, buses will run accordingly (but may be altered if road closures continue--drivers will make contact as needed.)

Mitchell offers a Transitional Kindergarten for students that turn 5 in May, June, & July. The Transitional Kindergarten is also tailored to students that are not ready for regular kindergarten whether it be academic, social, or emotional. We encourage all parents that have kindergarten aged students to attend.
